Starting is hard.

And not always for the reason that you think.

Starting is hard because it is really easy to start too hard, to feel humbled by the effort, to pay for that first attempt for days, to hurt yourself or make your mind and your body hate the idea of trying again.

The key to starting and  adding sustainable movement into your life is to find an appropriate pace and intensity to start with.

Yes, you want to be working hard enough to challenge yourself but it should also be easy enough that you can repeat it and ideally enjoy it.

This is why a good coach or trainer can be really helpful when it comes to introducing movement into your life, because they can help you begin in a way that is manageable and sustainable. They are there to help you build mobility, strength and progress in a way that is safe, healthy and achievable.

If you aren’t sure how to start, please feel free to reach out, ask questions and ask for support if you need it. Starting something new can be challenging, but with the right approach and support, it is not impossible.
